Losing some of my presets

S

sherwin dubren

I have had Vista Home Edition for about half a year.

About a month ago, I noticed that every time I rebooted
the PC, I lost certain information. My prefered locations
on Weather Underground and my site information on TV guide
vanish. I have been cleaning my cookies for many months
using CCleaner, but I have designated that the cookies
for these two sites are not to be erased. Maybe one
of the Windows Updates is getting a bit too creative?
Any ideas on how to cure this?

I have to say that this is one of the most confusing forums I have
ever used.

No... the message you wrote on 8/3 (3, not 2) had the subject of

"Losing web preferences after a reboot"

It said:
After any reboot of my vista system, I am losing certain preferences
and have to re-enter them again. For example, on TVguide.com,
I lose my location, grid settings, display preferences, etc. On
wunderweather.com, I lose my saved cities.

Not all my preferences are lost, such as signon info such as user
names and passwords. I am not erasing cookies for the affected
sites, so what is erasing this information on boot up?

The one you are quoting and replying to above WAS made in May.

Yes, I posted this twice, but only because I had trouble posting
it currently through the microsoft forum website. That access is
horribly slow, and generally, it will not let me send in questions.

I wish members of this forum would pay less attention to what I
consider a minor detail and ANSWSER MY QUESTION.

I am now using motzarella news to post things and it is going
much smoother and faster. I don't know why I can't post through
the microsoft website, as I am signed in properly for that.

Instead of nit picking on when I posted this message, how about
answering the question asked?

I was responding to your confusion over the date of a post you THOUGHT
you had made this month, when in fact you were actually looking at one
you had made in May.

You have more problems than whatever is wrong with your computer.

Along with your problems. I suggest taking all your medication. Do not
drive while taking your medication and contact your doctor if you
continue to hit your head on the wall.

Also, tape the diapers up so you don't soil yourself.
