Losing Password Protection when inserting document.

When I created documents from my password protected
template, the protection dissapears if the document is
inserted into a new file. Does anyone know anyway to
preserve the password protection when using the "Insert
File" command in Word 97 for Windows?

This is how it works! Re-apply the password to the revised document. The
only password security that is effective is that applied to restrict the
opening of the document. Once the document is open it is fair game.
