Losing Network Connection-Can't Trace the Problem

F

fghitis

My computer loses the connection to my dsl every few minutes. I can
reconnect without a problem for another few minutes.

There is another computer on the network and it is NOT having a
problem. So I'd say the trouble is not with the router or the modem.

I started using a new network card and the problem continues. (I also
unchecked the "allow computer to turn off this device.")

What could possibly be the trouble, any ideas?

Wireless connection? 802.1x authentication enabled? Try disabling it.

Not wireless.

It seems to be related to outlook express. When OE is off the
connection stays unbroken.

In OE, click Tools-Options-Connection and see if there is a tick beside
"Hang up after sending and receiving"
