Losing cookies

My IE6 is losing cookies. For example Google setting for how many hits to
display falls back to 10.

In eBay it keeps on asking me to sign in, and when I do it says "your
browser is not accepting cookies"

I have tried clearing the cache, clearing the cookies. Various advice from
eBay about seting cookies to accept 1st and 3rd party cookies manually. None
helps

It is happening on two machines geographically separate, on different ISPS,
but both running IE6 and XP pro.

It seems a few of us are having this trouble now, and so
far, no ones given me any ideas that helps. Its been
going on for a week in my case, and it's getting
aggravating. If you find a solution, please let me know.
