losing content when saving

I created a power point presentation for cd then fount it saved with the pptx
extension. Then when I tried to resave in a different format the original was
changed but the extension was not. I had to save to a different folder and
edit my third party graphics again. I went thru 5 cd's before I finally got a
workable copy using the cd utility in outlook. If I tried to burn for nero
the file saved as 2000 & older it lost all animation and changed photos. I
did not have these problems with office 2000.

You are using a beta version, so problems are to be expected.
Can you try and recount the steps you took in more detail please? I got
that you had a PPTX file, then saved it in which format?
Which cd utility in Outlook are you referring to? There is none.
What do you mean with 3rd party graphics?
How through Nero would you do this? Can you tell us the steps?

I had to problems with two different programs the one in outlook I have found
an answer to on the forum. So I see after reading the post that I had
confused the two in my post. I had saved the original presentation in the
pptx. Then since it was not compitable with Outlook 2000. I reopened the file
and tried to re-save as power point 2000-2003. This is when I lost the
animation and the pictures were changed.
So I re-opened the file added again the animation then saved again as
Powerpoint presentation. Again when I tried make the disk and playing I lost
all animation and the pictures that were pasted pixels were changed and a
black background had been added. Then I repeated the process opening and
changing the file tried to save with macro-enabled presentation. Still no
success. Then I opened pasted in my animation again, opened a new folder
saved as powepoint 2000-2003 presentation. Then I was able to make a CD using
the package CD in Power Point. If I try and save the same file. Then open
with nero and burn a copy of the file then the disc is no longer accessible.
