screen, then reboots itself, This is the second system ive encountered
this on.. WHY GOD!>? WHYYYYY? on this second system tho It keeps
failing to recognize the HDD.. says none are present to hit f1 to
retry or f2 to setup, I hit f1 and sometimes its better sometimes not.

Hi toxicrocker,

Have you checked you jumper settings or the cables themself. May be
your hard drive is corrupt. You can try booting with a PE CD and see
if the PE detects your HDD or not.

Hope this helps.

I seem to remember a few months (a year, dunno) ago there being a virus that
did that, kept rebooting my system. Can't for the life of me remember the
name of the virus, but maybe a search of symantec might help?

When you say "it keeps failing to recognize the HDD" do you mean, at a BIOS
level?
I would definitly check your jumpers first, like Taha said. especially if
it is a Western Digital HDD, as you should remove the jumper completely.
Another thing to look out for if it is looping the boot process is the RAM.
if you have more than one stick in there, try them one at a time (assuming
hopefully, you are not using RAMBUS ram ;) ).

hope this helps.
