Lookup more then one sheet as reference

Hi,

Is there a way to extract the data from an workbook that contains the
data in more then one sheet.

i.e.
I have the address data of the employees in 30 sheets (30days) that
was typed in same format and I want to pull the data (with sheet name
if possible) by entering Emp ID and name in separate workbook.

I will be more then thankful if some one could help me with this...

Vinod,

Generally, it is better to simply consolidate the data into a single table
on a summary sheet: manual, macro, or formula methods can be used, the best
choice being dependent on the specifics of your situation. Then use
formulas to extract the data from that one known sheet.

The use of multiple sheets with similar data is the biggest design flaw of
most workbooks - think database first.
