i have office xp 2002 professional but this does not
include FP2002 and I can't seem to find where or how to
upgrade to office xp 2002 developer which includes
FP2002, nor can I seem to find where to download FP2002
separately - any help? thanks!

You can't download it. The software must be purchased from an online or
brick software vendor. If you can still find a version of FP2002. May have
some luck on Ebay.

There isn't a way to download FrontPage.

I wouldn't bother upgrading to XP Developer. I don't know if there's an
upgrade path from Pro to Dev and if all you're looking for is FrontPage, it
would probably be simpler (and maybe cheaper) to just purchase a stand alone
copy.

Hi jlh,

I just purchased FP2002 two weeks ago at www.buysoftware.ws. At the time,
they had 35 copies left in stock. I've already received and installed it
and it works great. It was $79.99...no tax.

Good luck...

Hi Crash...I looked into that version first, but the requirements said you
need WinXP. I'm still using Win98SE. But that's okay. I like it. About 20
minutes after I made the purchase, one of my MS Stationery NG friends told
me he had upgraded to 2003 (which he likes) and no longer needed 2002, so I
could have it...and he was going to mail it to me. Murphy's Law.

Vicki,

If your friend used that v 2002 to upgrade to 2003 then, legally, you
can't use the 2002 license. When you purchase an upgrade it's
technically still "joined" with the previous release. That's why you're
able to buy upgrades cheaper.

Also, if your friend ever needs to reinstall 2003, he will need the 2002 CD.

If he got a new license, and not an upgrade, then the whole point is
moot and there's no licensing issues to worry about.

Interesting, Jack. He's had every single version of Front Page and keeps
purchasing the latest version. We never got into details because I had
already made the purchase. In any case, I thought it was kind of him to
make the offer since we've never met...just become good friends from being
in the same NG for so many years.

Vicki

Hi Vicki,

Just read your message on this site re purchase of FP2002 at
www.buysoftware.ws because it was the only one that referenced
buysoftware.ws.
I am actually looking for a windows product and buysoftware.ws is
appears to be selling it at very low price ?
I've been searching the web and found no reference's
to them in buyer comparison's.
Would you buy from them again ?
Do you know any thing about the company / website
Are there any sites that do checks on sellers ?
As you probably guessed I've never bought any thing from
a Web site.

Hoping you can assist

Jim. (UK)

Hi,
can you tell me if you have resolved this as I have the same problem?

FP2002 (and 2003) cannot be downloaded. You've got to purchase a physical
package, say, at a brick and mortar store.
