looking for a good amd mobo with pci-e

any 1 know of a good mobo with pci-e
im gonna buy a radeon x800xt so i want a good board to go with it
i want to get the best from the card
things i am looking for are
memory ddr 400 is the best i have seen so far on amd but p4 have 5300

also i am not up to speed with chipsets and cpu socket type so any
additional info would ne appreciated

There are no motherboards that support PCI Express with AMD processors
because until recently there was no available chipset with such support.
The first boards out will be those using the nvidia nforce4 chipset or the
Via K8T890 chipset. The K8T890 is supposedly available however so far no
vendor seems to have a board using it in stock. Both these chipsets are
for the 64-bit AMD chips, not the 32-bit.

yeah i was thinking as much but was living in hope that i may have missed
something cos i havent build anything in a while

According to Asus, their mb is shipping. I'd love to know where I can buy one.

Supposedly it's just going to "major OEMs" at the moment. So see who is
first to market and we'll know where they went.

....which ultimately means PCI-E AMD 64 mobos will be commonly available by
then, and you can "roll your own" for less...
