Windows MovieMaker 2 (WinXP only) can easily split them on a timeline
and save each separately. Both Tmpgenc and VirtualDub can import and
split them with a DirectShow Avisynth script (not recommended for
newbies).

While VDub doesn't support direct import of wmv files, it certainly
should be able to import them via an Avisynth avs file using a
DirectShow plugin script.
