Looking for a better email application - Windows 7

I recently went to Vista and Microsoft Mail. Very easy to use and I
like the layout.

I am now working on going to Windows 7, sometime, and I am looking for
a different email program. I have tried Windows Live Mail but I do
not like it. Hate the fact that it appears to need to log on to
Hotmail / MSN / Live first and I do not like the layout.

What can anyone recommend?

There is no "Microsoft Mail". Did you mean Windows Mail?

Signing in to Windows Live Mail with a Live ID is optional, and you can
easily configure it so it won't ask.

You can change some aspects of its layout, but you need to ask in the
correct forum. You can get more help for Windows Live Mail by posting
in its dedicated forum:

or via your news reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Sign up for the Mailbird beta, will be really nice and would love to get some insight from people who are seeking a new desktop email for Windows. We are conducting a private beta right now :)
