Perhaps this was a plan by the Royal Mint to get us out of a recession... very clever

I've had a look at my 20p's and they are still only worth 20p - shame!

I want a £100 each for mine ... I have a 1,000 for sale.

If you need any more, let me know in good time so I can print more.

Why not print the 7 legged spider on 20p coins, then they'd be worth $233.95  (might not make sense unless you read this!)

That story reminds me of the chap who couldn't pay his tax bill so he sent the Revenue a photo of a cheque made out with the amount owing. Suprisingly, someone at the Revenue had a sense of humour and sent back a reply which was simply a photo of a pair of handcuffs.

there are some listed for get this .. .... .. . £6200!! is any one really going to spend that much for 2x 20p coins?

some of the more 'reasonable' prices are in the 100's!? i know a lot of people collect coins but i mean really?! is it that bigger deal

and yes i will be spending this evening going through my pile of coins to see if i have any i will place some on ebay and the rest will go to the mint lol
