longevity of colour images on Canon high res paper

I printed some photos on Canon high res paper some time ago, probably
a couple of years, and they still don't seem to have faded. I assumed
the prints would have a shorter life than on the heavier photo paper.
Does anyone have any data on the expected longevity of the high-res
paper compared with the photo paper. I'm tempted to use it because of
the cost svaing when printing lots of photos.

Thanks
Mike

Why not use after market inks with Canon photo paper? I have for years
and save a ton of money on ink cost and get perfect results every time.

If you have access to a Costco store you might also try their glossy photo
paper for "every day" photo prints. Great results. I don't know about
longevity, but I have some framed photos hanging in a hallway that were
printed on this paper with MIS inks (bulk ink that I refill carts with) and
I haven't seen any fading so far.

Henry Wilhelm is the expert in fade, see his website at:

use the "search" box to narrow it down to what you are looking for.
