Long timeout when Windows Explorer R_Click > New > Folder

I get a long timeout before Windows Explorer will go from right click to
hovering over New to allowing me to select Folder to create a new folder.
There is a list of 14 file types below Folder and Shortcut associated with
programs I've added over time that I suspect may be the culprit. I rarely
use this list anyway. Is there a way to stop the timeout? Is there a way to
edit or delete the list?

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

Again thanks Elmo for your suggestions. Unfortunately when I run the
application they suggest, I get about 4000 possibilities. My only attempt at
deleting something crashed my system so hard I could not reboot. With some
assistance from a colleague I got sysytem back because I had saved the
registry.

Now I'm scared to try more.

By the way - same problem in explorer with file > New > Folder. 1 minute,
15 second delay from New to Folder.
