Long login times

I am experiencing really long login times(anything between
2-3 minutes) for roaming profile users in an environment
of only 2000 & XP machines on the local network.
Any input is appreciated.

Roaming profiles might be the issue here. Anyway, check the ipconfig/all.
Does everything point to the server-IP?
