My XP Pro machine has a mapped drive to a Win98 peer.
When I open a large folder (4000 jpg files) it takes more
than half a minute before the files begin to list. (Note:
I have thumbnails shut off.) Three other Windows 2000 Pro
PCs are mapped to the same PC. Two of them can open the
same folder in less than three seconds and the other takes
as long as the XP machine. Where is the tweak responsible
for the difference? Do I need to change the batteries in
the "flashlight"?
