In my C drive under windows, there are numerous entries such as- Qxxxxx.log
and KBxxxxx.log.
are these all necessary?

You can erase these directories if you feel your machine is running fine and
you will never need to uninstall any of the critical (or some non-critical)
patch you applied.
 
Shenan,Thanks for your reply. I have already deleted the "uninstall files"
but these ".log" files remain
