Logon Types

Can anybody explain to me what the different logon types are, as displayed in
the event viewer security log. I ask because I have an anonymous user
logging on to my XP home PC. I know it is probably a service, but am
intersested to know what the different log on types mean.

The link below explains the logon types. My guess if it logon type 3. If it
was these can be normal in that the computer browser service uses "null"
sessions to access other computers to manage the browse list which is what
you see in My Network Places. Also XP Home can only use simple file sharing
and user accessing a share could show as anonymous. --- Steve
