logon screen error msg.

I use to be able to turn my computer on and didn't have
to worry about a logon screen. Now I have a logon screen.
I tried to get rid of it by not allowing logon. Now I get
a msg. the says "The system could not log you on. Make
sure your User name and domain are correct, then type
your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed
using the correct case". I click ok and then it has my
name, I click that and it loads. I want to get rid of
everything. I changed preferences to not logon, not ask
for password. I did the userpassword2 and dont get a
reponse from that. What can I do?

Thanks for any help.

Go to Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 Highlight the username
that you want logged on automatically. Uncheck Users must enter a username
and password....... Click Apply. The username that you selected should
automatically be populated in the next dialog. Make sure that it is the
correct username. Enter the password for this user, if any, and Ok your way
out.

If the box is already unchecked, check it, click Apply, then uncheck it
again, click Apply.
