I have an installation of Windows 2000 Pro on one of my mobile users' laptops
that is not letting anyone log on (local admin or his account). After typing
in the user/pass and hitting OK Windows will begin to apply settings and then
instantly jump back to the Logon screen. Over the phone I have walked him
through restoring Last Known Good Configuration and it did not work. Any
ideas?

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my problems.

This sounds like one of two things; the drive letter has change from
original install, or the drive permissions have changed.

Unable to Log on if the Boot Partition Drive Letter Has Changed
