logon password

I just bought a lap top running win 2000 nt at a garage sale but they cant
remember the password to log on and staart windows. is there any way to
bypass this and reset the password?

You might want to consider reinstalling Windows 2000 if you have the proper
disks, cd keys, and some technical savvy. That would not only allow you to
get access but also set up the system as you want it; a fresh start if you
