Logon Laptop to Multiple Domains

M

Mark D'Agosta

I have a laptop that I use to connect to my network at home. I'd like to be
able to bring the laptop to work and logon to the network there also, but
I'm unable to connect because my home domain name is in the logon dialog.
Any way to add multiple domains to the laptop network configuration so that
I can logon to both networks without having to reconfigure anything? I seem
to remember being able to do this with Win95/Win98; I think you could just
pick your domain off the dropdown on the login dialog. But my laptop only
shows my home domain, and the local machine option.

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks
Mark D.

Nothing native will do this. Best bet is probably to log into the domain you
need/use most all the time - with cached credentials when you're on the
other network - and connect to remote resources by specifying the
appropriate credentials.

net use x: \\server\share /user:domain\username

and so forth.
