I am getting this error on one server while trying to
access one of our servers.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested
logon type at this computer.

I've done this and still doesn't work.

The remote user logon account needs to be in a
group/local granted network logon

Start
run
gpedit.msc
windows settings
security settings
local policies
user rights
access this computer from the network
add use in

Please help.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike-

After you adjusted the local policies, did you force a refresh using
secedit? Or, did you reboot? Sounds like your settings adjustment hasn't
taken effect yet.

Check the "effective" setting after you made the change. It is possible that a
higher priority policy such as domain/OU is overriding the local settings in
which case the change would have to be made at that level. Also any setting in
the deny access to this computer from the network will override any allow
access. In Windows 2000, access to Terminal Server or Remote Administration
requires logon locally user right. --- Steve
