Hello,
I'm using a Windows XP Pro SP2 notebook and when I try to logon to my
Windows 2000 domain, I get the following error:
WINDOWS CANNOT CONNECT TO THE DOMAIN CONTROLLER, EITHER BECAUSE THE DOMAIN
CONTROLLER IS DOWN OR OTHERWISE UNAVAILABLE, OR BECAUSE YOUR COMPUTER ACCOUNT
WAS NOT FOUND.
I can confirm the user account and computer account does exist in AD and
this is an isolated issue to this notebook. I am able to logon using the
same credentials from another workstation. I can also logon locally to the
notebook as the local Admin as well. When I disconnect the CAT5 cable and
then use my W2K domain account, I can login successfully and access all
network resources but when I try logging on with the CAT5 connected, I get
the error.
Thanks....
