Logon at welcome screen

I can see by the number of post that there are issues with the welcome
screen. Didn't see too may remedies though. It seems that recently I’ve lost
my Welcome Screen with my name on it. The system seems to bypass it. I’ve
kind of got use to it and kind of miss using it. From some of the post I see
where updating .NET framework might have something to do with it. I have not
installed SP2 though. I’ve gone to the Control Panel and clicked on activate
Welcome Screen but it doesn’t have any effect. Any ideas??

Hi Frank,

Go to Start - Run and type the following command then press enter:

control userpasswords2

On the Advanced tab Make sure "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Del "
is unchecked.

Also if Tweakui is installed, go to Logon - Autologon and make sure
"Log on automatically at system startup" is unchecked.
