Logo now suddenly a black rectangle

I am working in Word 2003 on Vista. I opened up a Word doc to edit it,
and now the logo is suddenly a black rectangle. When I open up a saved
doc with that same logo, it is now a black rectangle. I'm not sure what
has changed or caused this to happen. I did read the "Graphics don't
display or don't print" article on the MVP site, and all of my settings
are correct.

What else can I try?
