'LogiTech wheel optical mouse' vibration problem

Q

qazmlp

The LogiTech wheel optical mouse is much comfortable to use. But, I am
facing one problem with this mouse for a longer time. The mouse
pointer sometimes starts vibrating very often while I am doing the
navigation. This is a random behaviour but it exhibits this atleast
10-20 times per day.

Is this a known problem? If yes/no, kindly suggest a way to fix this.

Its not a known problem have you updated logitech drivers?
Though it might be a graphics problem as apposed to mouse.

Do you have more than one pointing device on the system? I have observed
that behaviour with multiple pointing devices.

Good trick, updating drivers that is, since Logitech no longer
supports what they sell.

I have a half dozen of their trackballs, unused, sitting on a shelf,
because Logitech does not offer updated drivers for them.

So were stuck using these gawd awful oversized meeses with
MickeySoft's name on them. If you don't dab silicone on the pins a
few times a day, they are nearly useless too.

But we won't buy anything with Logitech's name on it anymore!
Filed under junk with US Robotics who changed their name to 3-com.

Hi David

One of the reasons we have so many new LogiTech's on the shelf is that
at one time they supported everything they ever made. We even had an
old ScanMan that outlived its usefulness, yet LogiTech still made
drivers for it for the latest OS's.

This prompted us to make sure every peripheral we bought, if it was
something LogiTech manufactured, that it carried their name.
Everyone here loved a certain model trackball they manufactured.
It worked perfect, no problems, quite manuverable and the most
accurate on the market.
Why they discontinued such an ideal product is beyond me. But as soon
as we heard, we went out to almost every supply house in a 50 mile
radius and bought up their inventories so we would have them.

About a year later, we purchased new computers, stopped by LogiTech
website to pick up new drivers, no new drivers for anything they made.
Mickeysoft didn't even have internal drivers that would work. We were
forced to change to what we deem as inferior products.

A FULL YEAR later, LogiTech was still not supporting any of their
products with updated drivers. They wanted us to buy their new junk
and nothing they sold was what we wanted or could use.

They STILL do not make drivers that work with the trackballs we have.

I get this at work with my Genius optical mouse, there it seems to be
because it's on a slippery surface on a slight slope and it is
"rolling" down the slope as there's not enough friction to stop it.
