Logitech Wheel Mouse Double-Click

How do I get Vista to see my simple Logitech optical wheel mouse click using
the wheel? Being able to set the wheel click to a double click is VERY
useful, and the Microsoft driver does not appear to even know about a wheel
click.

I downloaded the Logitec site mouse driver and installed it, but Vista seems
to be paranoid about letting me change drivers - so paranoid, I can't even
figure out how.

I'm pretty good with XP, but this Vista is a new beast..

Thanks

Lloyd,

Hardware not functioning properly is almost always caused by driver
problems. Most likely there is something incompatible between the Logitech
mouse and Vista. When you try to install a driver, it must be Vista
compatible, or Vista may not allow it to be installed.

The easiest solution is to buy a Microsoft mouse until compatibility issues
become resolved. I'm not using a Microsoft mouse (off brand), but even so
Device Manager identifies it as a Microsoft mouse. When you buy a mouse,
make sure it is Vista compatible, but even then it may have issues because
vendors are having problems getting their hardware to be compatible.

The secret is: Logitech has not provided a driver yet, and Microsoft does not
support the wheel click even though they know it's a logitec wheel mouse -
too bad.. It is very handy.
