Logitech BT Mini-Receiver not installing

I have XP SP2 and have been trying to install the reciever for my Bluetooth
Logitech MX 5000 desktop set. I read that once it's plugged into a SP2 pc the
drivers are supposed to install automatically, but this isn't happening. XP
prompts me to look for drivers, but it can't find any. I browsed the software
disk and the OS tells me the drivers "don't contain any information about my
hardware". Tried everything I can think of, removing the device from device
manager...etc. Any help would be nice, thanks.

With the software installed, the USB Dongle still isn't recognized by windows
for some reason...I'll try again...but do you suggest having the dongle
plugged in while installing?

I would install a PS/2 keyboard and mouse, just generic stuff that Windows
will recognize and allow to run; then I would remove previous versions of
SetPoint and download the most recent version at Logitech (URL below) and
install that. At some point during the install or after it finishes you
should be told to connect the hardware, if not - shutdown, remove the PS/2
hardware, connect the USB hardware, and start the system, it should be
recognized then.

Tried the same process a few times. Windows randmly found the "USB Wireless
HUB" on the 3rd or 4th try today...everything went fine after that! Thanks
anyway.
