Logitech Bluetooth Receiver

Going to need to work out some compatibility with the Logitech MX 5000 for
Bluetooth. Logitech uses it's own bluetooth stack for some reason, probably
due to the nature of the receiver. Setpoint will install and I get my
notifications on the thing, Almost everything works except the volume
control. But the main deal is with the Bluetooth receiver it's self. Mr. Add
New Hardware wiz is not accepting the driver I point it out to. Most likely a
driver issue, and an update from WIDCOMM is around the corner.

I am having the exact same problem. I have the Logitech DiNovo Media Desktop
MX900 Combo and I too can't seem to get the Bluetooth Wireless Hub Driver to
install.
If anyone has any insight or workarounds to this problem, please please give
me help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same problem with diNovo Media Desktop 2.0. Am I right, that Vista see you
Logitech BT hub in the hardware list? In my case there is no mention about
Bluetooth wireless hub at all! Nowhere to find!
As for the drivers, I have a Logitech CD with the SetPoint 2.22 software,
and there is a folder with WIDCOMM bluetooth drivers, which I managed to
install. Unfortunately it does not help me, cause Vista do not see any
bluetooth hardware...

From what I see, Widcomm is able to get the bus enumator in the device
manager with no problem.But there still is no support for the hub it's self,
Either widcomm or logitech is lagging on geting a suitable driver for the hub
out there. Funny, how even tho my BT hub isnt fully operational, I was still
able to write this post while I was sitting across the house taking a dump.

Hi

I have spent a pleasant morning reading your posts and fighting Vista to
work with my DiNovo Desktop and I "Think" that I may have a solution but with
a small price tag. Dump the idea of getting their Base Unit to work because
you can get Logitec Bluetooth Devices to run without using their Hub. A
discovery I made back in the old days of XP !

This time I installed a BlueTooth USB stick from Sitecom and then invited
the DiNovo KDB, MSE and Media pad to it by using the BlueTooth Devices icon
that then appeared in the Control Panel. One word of warning with the mouse,
I also connected a PS2 mouse because once you press the Rodent's connect
button the Logitec Mouse no longer works untill the connection finishes.

The Logitec site explains that while you need to install their SetPoint 2.2
you can then upgrade to v2.6 which I think is just software and not their
Bluetooth Drivers. So I did just that.

Restarting the PC and then waiting for the Bluetooth connection to take
place I now see the devices in SetPoint and things "Seem" to be working OK.

When you (Dr G) say that you can work while Dumping (Odd Habit you have)
this reinforces my idea that the Logitec Bluetooth is not all its cracked up
to be because I have often wondered how the KBD works when playing in the
Motherboard BIOS because there are no drivers present !! Perhaps it works
by old fashioned radio as well and this Bluetooth is just for those (like me)
who have more money than sense!!!

Please do not take my disagreement as an insult. Logitech is entitled to
create a proprietary bluetooth stack, and after reading around their
neighboorhood, they are simply refusing to do anything until prior to it's
release. I had no qualms with it under XP because it worked. What if the
issue has to deal with microsoft having the software a little "too secure"
given that a proprietary stack is hobbled. It's all theory until logitech
gets to the bottom line and makes a driver.

Try Setpoint 3.10. Loads and works on Vista RC2 x64 allowing almost full
functionality of the mouse and keyboard. Mouse (MX Revolution) works as
Bluetooth and DiNovo Edge keyboard works as HID compliant keyboard.
