Loging on as Administrator in Safe Mode

Jack Gillis

I am using XP Home SP2 and have set up, via 'control userpasswords2' the
system to automatically log me on as the default user at each boot.

Now when I boot to Safe Mode it automatically logs me on as I think it
should. In order to use the Administrator account I have to log off and
choose Administrator. What do I do if the reason I want to log on as
Administrator is because I can't log on to my account?
Is there a way to have the system log me on automatically under a Normal
Mode boot yet allow me to choose to log on as Administrator when booting
to Safe Mode?

Thank you very much.

Hold down shift during the boot and it will inhibit the auto-logon
