I am using windows 98 and having a problem when I try to
log into my own personal desktop on my home computer. My
son is also having the same problem logging into his
desktop settings using the same computer. When we log in
under our name and password, the desktop is all scrambled
and unreadable. However, if we log in under the default
user instead of our own password, everything is fine. I
have Norton System works 2003 and have ran a complete
system check and no viruses were found. I also ran a
check of the system directly through the Norton Website.
Again, no viruses were found even though it appears that I
may have one. If anyone has any advise on this please let
me know as soon as possible. Any help will be appreciated.

You might try a Windows 98 group - this is for Windows XP, as it says in the
group name!
