Login stuck in workgroup, need to get back to domain

I'm XP user. I allowed my home PC to be hooked up to work domain. I started process of setting up separate user for home use (workgroup). Unfortunately, I chose to login as a guest user instread of the administrator. Now I'm stuck. I don't know administrator name/ID of workgroup and I can't get logged in to the domain. I know my domain sign-on has administrative priveledges for the computer. I know the domain name, sign-on and password. At login, I thought I could enter "DOMAINNAME\signon" for username then "password" but I'm not allowed entry. Help

Hi - sorry, but you've effectively locked yourself out of your car. Since
you've removed the computer from the domain, you can no longer log in using
your domain account, for obvious reasons. You'll need to know the local
admin credentials to get back in at all, but you won't be using your domain
profile after that, even so.

Do you want to be able to use this computer on your work domain again? If
so, bring it back to the office and ask the domain admin to rejoin the PC to
the domain. Again, he/she/you will still need to be able to log in using the
local admin account to do this.

See

and/or
http://securityadmin.info/db/faqresults.asp?keyword=password&SType=AnyWord&CATID=Optional
for info on how to crack the admin password if you need it.

If you removed your computer from the domain by changing to a workgroup
setting, you will need a server administrator login and password to rejoin.
Usually your IT department will have to do this for you.
