Has anyone found .vbs scripts not run in AD through the
use of GPO's. Is there any tricks to get this to work.
The scripts runs if I put in the user's profile, but not
when the scripts is put into the GPO. Any ideas?

Jeff,

What I usually do is create the GPO at the OU level ( or at the domain
level, depending on what you are trying to do ) and then make sure that the
..vbs file ( the actual file ) is located in the folder that is given to you
by the GPO. Does this make any sense to you? The same applies to logoff
scripts ( on the user side ) and startup and shutdown scripts ( on the
computer side ).

Here is an example:

Say that you want the Marketing OU to have a specific logon script. You
create a quick little .vbs file and then go to the Marketing OU, right
click, choose properties and then go to the Group Policy tab. Click on New
and away you go. There is a specific place where this .vbs file would go.
The path is pretty much given to you through the GPO GUI.

What troubleshooting have you done on this? Have you used GPOTool and/or
Replmon?

HTH,

Cary
