login screen

We've got some Windows XP computer for our classrooms that
we want to load to the desktop, i.e. we don't want a login
screen when the computer boots up. Can this be done after
the OS has been installed and configured? Can we do this
during installation of the software? (I understand the
user will probably be logged in as admin-and we are OK
with that).

Hi

Try this after the OS has been installed:

From Start>Run type in

control userpasswords2

then uncheck 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer' and click 'Apply'. On the next screen - 'Automatically Log On' -
delete the name 'Administrator' from the User name box and enter your
account name and then the password in the next two boxes. OK your way out
and then reboot your system.
