login screen grays out

Screen grays out when logging in. Pc worked fine for 3
week, now when either an admin or user tries to log into
the pc the screen grays out and won't enter windows. This
pc is attached to a domain controller network.
Any ideas

Hi Erin,

You should try logging in with Last Known Good or Safe Mode. If Last Known
Good works, you are set.

If you can boot OK in Safe Mode but not Last Known good, you can use System
Restore to roll back your system to a state prior to when the symptom
happened:
