Login Problems

I am running Windows XPpro SP2 i am having problems SOMETIMES with the login
screen. The screen will lock completly the username and password feilds will
be grayed out but the blinking curser will be in the username feild. So i
cannot type the username or password in to either feild. The computer is a
member of a domain. The domain is primarly windows 2000 workstations we are
just starting to intigrate windows XP. I have never run into this problem
before with any of the windows 2000 machines. The DC is Windows 2000 Server
SP4.

I can't say I have ever seen that either. It may help to check the logs via
Event Viewer to see if any errors/warning are recorded that may be related.
It could also be due to malware. Intermittent problems can be a real
headache and you may just want to do a clean install.
