I want to simply turn on my computer and have it go directly to my desktop,
but all of a sudden I cannot do that without being prompted to login. I am
not on a network; just my home PC, and I am the only one who uses it. I went
to *user accounts* and saw that there is another 'user' there beside the
guest login (which has been disabled). It says *ASP.Net Machine A...* Is this
normal? I'm afraid to delete it. I have no idea how it got there or what it
is. Any advice of how to just turn my computer on and bypass this logging in
would be most appreciated.

Yes.

It got there when you installed the .net framework. Just ignore it.

Start | Run, type "control userpasswords2" Select the account you want
to logon to automatically. Then uncheck the box "Users must enter a
user name and password to use this computer."

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.
