login problem

i support a network with thirty pcs based on server-client
topology and the operating system is win2000 server.
client pcs has win-2000 or win-xp home and pro.
the most of them can not login to server fast.Sometimes
you must to wait 5 minutes and more but at the end login on

That's a DNS name resolution issue. Install a DNS server. It's infinitely
faster and makes much better use of the network + hardware than Netbios
broadcasting does. Additionally, W2K, unlike previous OSs, is designed to
consult a DNS sever by default before waisting packets with broadcasting.
