My XP login icons (and text for username) have become
really tiny. So tiny that you can't even really read
them. Any help is appreciated.
.
Right click on a the desktop (with no programs running).
In the menu that pops open select PROPERTIES.
In that menu click on the SETTINGS tab.
In the Settings menu click on the ADVANCED tab.
On my XP Pro computer the monitor menus open. Click on the
GENERAL tab.
In the Display section of the menu you should see where it
says "DPI settings."
Change the setting by clicking on the little down arrow.
Change the setting size to Large size (120 DPI) (default
is 72 dpi)
Click on APPLY then on OK.
The fonts and icons should now be larger on your screen.
You may have to resize your monitor to fill the screen
correctly. If you have sizing controls on your monitor use
them to resize the screen to fit correctly.
If at Larg size (120 DPI) does not make the text and icons
look large enough go back into that same menu.
This time click on the Down arrow again and select CUSTOM
SETTING.
You should be able to see a place to type in the size.
This time type in 135 for the new size. That should make
all text and menus plus icons appear much larger on your
screen. You can change the 135 setting higher or lower to
suit how your eyes see your screen better.
