Login corrupt?

This is a very odd problem that I am having. I have a network domain with
one pc that will no longer log in. This pc has a good cable, and confirmed
ip address (when logged in on local machine).

When attempting to log into the domain, I get the standard error that the
domain could not be contacted, or that the user name and/or password may be
incorrect.

I assure you that the problem is not my typing of the user id or password.
I have in fact replaced the hard drive of this pc with that of another
machine from the network. With the different hard drive this computer is
able to log into the domain flawlessly.

This leads me to believe that there is a portion of xp that has become
corrupt, and strictly confirms there is no hardware failure as far as
connectivity or ability to reach the domain.

I am not familiar enough with recovery console to pinpoint the source of
this problem.

Any advice is greatly appricaiated. I am sure I can be more specific in
answering any questions you might have for me.

I am going to try removing this pc from the domain and then see if I can get
back on.

Yay for me!! I answered my own post! I removed the pc from the domain and
rejoined it. Now I am able to login successfully.
