Logging into windows

How do I get rid of the log-on screen so that when I start wondows it doesn't
ask me for a password and username. I don't even know how it got on there.I
tried doing what Larry Samuels suggested but it did not work.Is there another
way I can get rid of this. Please help me.

.. Go to the Start Menu and the Run box.
.. Type in the following:
control userpasswords2
.. now click OK
.. In the new Windows that appears select the account you wish to make the
primary logon.
.. Now uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password..." box.
.. Hit Apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected
users password.

Click OK.
The changes will work the next time you restart your computer.

You are too fast. I was just going to right the same procedure. Got late
because I was trying it first.

Thanks for the suggestion. I really apperciate the comments from MVPs. I
always think and feel that you peoples out there are better than us.

Thanks so much this really helped. It was weird I never had the welcome
screen and then all of a sudden it started showing up so i couldnt boot up
straight to the desktop.
