Logcal Disk Manager

When i goto control panel/computer management/diskmanagement a popup window
appears "Logical disk manager" with the error message "The RPC server is
unavailable. Upon checking the services connected to RPC are all started and
Task manager shows locator.exe as idle. What else could this error message
mean?

Try opening event viewer for more details associated with it.Once a warning/
error is located,click on the url with it,this opens kb help/support in
xp,usually
with a fix or answer.

I cleared ALL of the four event viewer report lists. I then tried to access
the Dis management again. I got the "RPC server is unavailable" again. I
then went toEvent viewer. All 4 lists were empty.
