Whether or not one liked or disliked Trudeau no one could ever claim
that he wasn't a smart man, if you think otherwise you are a bit
misinformed on Canadian political history and its figures. Even those
who deeply disliked Trudeau generally admitted that he was a formidable
adversary and a very intelligent person with thought out views and
opinions. Sarah Palin simply does not have the level of intellect that
Trudeau had and no amount of trying will ever make her as smart as he was.

You may be right about some Republicans starting to question Palin. I do
know that at last count some 25% of Hillary supporters say they will vote
for Sarah. This toing-and-froing will continue until election day (and
beyond).
Still, the Obama camp is enticing. Their new slogan: "Come over to the dark
side. We have cookies."
