Every so often my passwork expires and I have to go to my
Wifes log on to change my password. I am an system
administrator on the account as is my wife. Once I change
my password is shows as password protected and I have to
type in my password every time I log on, don't know how to
have system remember password/

I don't understand. Usually when a password expires, you get a message
telling you and asking you to set a new one. Why do you need to log in as
you wife to change it?

As David suggests, why not clear your password, or if you want to have one,
there should be a 'Password Never Expires' check box in the user settings
somewhere. (Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/Administrative
Tools/Computer Management / Local Users and Groups).

Cheers,

ChrisM

A policy can be placed that won't allow a user to change the password
during logon, even if it displays the change password box. They do
this at work and it drives me nuts. I get calls all day about it from
our employees trying to change their passwords, but the computer won't
let them do it.

This is highly likely to NOT be the case here, as it requires some
behind the scenes manipulations to cause it, but it is a remote
possibilty.
