Log on screen comes on after being idle

O

Old Geaser

Some months ago I had a problem with the log on screen coming on at startup.
Some nice person here told me how to fix that.

Now when the computer is setting idle and the screen saver comes on ( the
one that has a slide show of my pictures) and then the screen goes blank, I
move the mouse to do something, the log on screen is there.

It really is no big bother, but would like to get rid of it. Any
suggestions? Thanks in advance.

right click the desktop and select properties from the list, select the
screensaver tab, clear the check mark from the on resume, password protect
option.

Hi,

Go to Screen Saver settings (right click on the desktop, properties, screen
saver tab). Be sure the "on resume, display welcome screen" is unchecked.
If that doesen't fix your problem, click start, run, "control
UserPasswords2", enter; click yourlogon name, then uncheck the box that
requires users to enter a password. Also, click "Change the way users log on
or off ", uncheck Use the Welcome Screen.
Last one: Download TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx ,
install then go to Logon =>Screen saver

Hope this helps.
