Since I am the only one using my computer, how can I make
Windows boot to the desktop without asking me to click on
my account name?

Download the program tweakui from microsoft and with tweakui can specify
with which account you can autologon.

The easiest solution would be to go to user accounts and
click on yours and remove password, but this is strongly
not recommended in my opinion

Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 In the list of users, select the username that you want logged on automatically. Then uncheck Users must enter a username and password.......... Click Apply. In the next dialog, enter the password for the account you selected, if any.
