Log off hangs up on ccApp

Often when I shut down from Start it will hang up on ccApp and I have to
chose End Now. Is this critical or indicative of something I can change?

Usually the computer does not completely power off when this happens.

ccApp is your Norton Antivirus, I personally would uninstall Norton and
install another AV.

This is helpful but since Norton Antivirus is part of SystemWorks and does not have a separate utility to uninstall it, I would lose the other SystemWorks apps such as Ghost. Is there a way to uninstall just the Antivirus portion?
