Hi all :)

I'm wondering if there is a log somewhere of any repairs CkDsk might have
made. I've looked in System Information and Windows\Internet Logs. I
recently had to run CkDsk because my system shut itself off in the middle of
the night. The electricity had not gone off in my home that I'm aware of. So
it was a freaky thing. I ran a CkDsk so am wondering if there were any
errors, etc. If there is such a log/document please let me know where to
find it. Thanks :)

Go to Start > Run and type: eventvwr.msc /s , and hit enter.
When Event Viewer opens, click on "Application", then scroll
down to "Winlogon" and double-click on it. This is the log
created after running Checkdisk.

Open EventViewer:
Start>Run eventvwr.msc [enter]

Click on "Application". In the "Source" column, look for the "Winlogon"
item. Double-click it and you should see the results of your Chkdsk.

Alternately and possibly easier (no typing required) right click My
Computer, select Manage, then Event Viewer.

Thank you Carey, Malke and Steve N. !! I found the log and nothing major was
amiss in my system.

Cool. Glad to have helped a bit, if at all.
