I am a single home user and the only profile on my XP Home machine. To
prevent having to chose myself (the only choice) every time I startup I am
using Tweak UI to bypass to log-in screen on boot-up. It works fine except
when the computer powers down from lack of use it still asks my to click
myself when it wakes up even though it doesn't ask anymore on boot-up. How
do I get rid of that login screen once and for all - in all instances? It's
driving me nuts.

On the Screen Saver tab under Display Properties have you got the "on resume
password protect" box checked ? If so uncheck it...

It is unchecked.

Hi,

Control Panel/Display/Screensaver tab, uncheck "on resume, display welcome
screen".
Control Panel/Power options/advanced tab, uncheck "prompt for password when
computer resumes from standby".
